THE PICTURE IN YOUR HEAD The following quote is attributed to Socrates... "What screws us up most in life is the picture in our head of how things are supposed to be". Of course he probably did not use these exact words but the message is real. Often we are disappointed when things do not work out the way we expected them to or how we envisioned our reality to be. Who sets these expectations? Society? Family? Our internal voice? What can we do to change the picture? This workshop looks at strategies and skills to identify the pictures in our heads (expectations) and how to determine if these pictures are realistic or achievable. How do we change our inner dialogue to change the pictures to avoid, or at the very least, minimize disappointment. (2 hours)
